Released in 2008, Flight of the Conchords is the self-titled debut album from New Zealand duo Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie, capturing the sharp musical comedy that made them cult favourites and global stars. Blending deadpan humour with genuine musical craft, the album spans hip-hop parody, synth pop, folk, and soft rock pastiche, all delivered with meticulous songwriting and impeccable timing. While rooted in comedy, the record works because the songs stand up musically, not just as jokes.

This limited metallic green vinyl edition presents the album as a collectible celebration of a record that transcended novelty. Featuring fan favourites like ‘Hiphopopotamus vs. Rhymenoceros’, ‘Inner City Pressure’, and ‘The Most Beautiful Girl (In the Room)’, the album remains a rare example of comedy music with lasting replay value — funny, clever, and far more musically literate than it ever lets on.
