As far as six piece bands from Brisbane named after a toy horse go, The John Steel Singers were certainly the best. Formed in 2007, the band released two previous records to critical acclaim and five EPs. The band exploded following a Triple J Unearthed competition win, they even featured in the Hottest 100 and were even named Unearthed Artist of the Year in 2008. Since then it has only been going up for the group. This is their third and final album.
