Originally released in April 1983, Let’s Dance is David Bowie’s 15th studio album and his biggest commercial success. Arriving nearly three years after Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps), the record marked a decisive shift toward pop clarity and global reach. Co-produced by Nile Rodgers of Chic, Bowie embraced groove, gloss, and immediacy without abandoning craft, resulting in an album that connected across radio, dancefloors, and cultures worldwide.

The album produced three of Bowie’s most successful singles: the title track ‘Let’s Dance’, which reached No. 1 in the UK, US, and multiple other countries, alongside ‘Modern Love’ and ‘China Girl’, both of which peaked at No. 2 in the UK. ‘China Girl’ was a reworking of a song Bowie had originally co-written with Iggy Pop for Pop’s 1977 album The Idiot. Reissued here on 180g heavyweight vinyl featuring the 2018 remastered audio, Let’s Dance stands as a pop masterpiece and a defining moment in Bowie’s catalogue.
