Originally released in 1997, Guide to Better Living marked Grinspoon’s no-holds-barred entrance into Australia’s alt-rock canon. Armed with tracks like the spitfire 'Just Ace', the snarling 'DC×3', and the emotionally charged 'Don't Go Away', the record cut through the mainstream with double-platinum ferocity. Singles 'Pedestrian' and 'Repeat' only strengthened its 36-week stay in the ARIA Top 50, while the rest of the album pulsed with the sound of a band still raw, restless, and out to prove something. Pressed on vinyl for the first time in 2017 to celebrate its 20th anniversary, this standard black LP captures the heat and hunger of a defining debut.
