After featuring Laid as our Record of the Month, Ben Preece caught up with James’ Saul Davies to talk about the album, Brian Eno, touring and the music exciting him now.

After spending the month with Laid as our Record of the Month, we wanted to go one step further and speak to someone who was actually there.

Ben caught up with James guitarist, violinist and percussionist Saul Davies for a wide-ranging conversation about the making of Laid, working with Brian Eno, the strange chemistry of James in the studio, touring, and the music Saul is listening to now.

Watch the full conversation above, then dive into our Laid deep dive for the full story behind the record.
